About CrochetCalc

CrochetCalc started as a scratched-out note on the back of a washcloth pattern: how many stitches will this blanket end up, and do I actually have enough yarn left in that partial skein?

The answers were always simple arithmetic — gauge, stitch counts, yardage per square inch — but doing them mid-project with a phone calculator and a pencil was error-prone. So the formulas were turned into the three tools you can use on this site: a stitch counter, an increase & decrease calculator, and a yarn yardage calculator.

Every formula is shown

Each tool page shows the exact formula it uses, right under the result, so you can check the work instead of trusting a black box. If a result ever disagrees with your swatch, trust the swatch — and let us know via the contact page.

What this site is not

There is no sign-up, no email wall, and no premium tier hiding the useful numbers. The site is free to use, funded the old-fashioned way if ads ever appear, and the calculators keep working even if your connection drops.
